Community Outreach Programs

After School Club

This drop-in program is run by the City of Winnipeg out of Prince Edward’s gymnasium and features structured recreational activities. It operates Wednesday after school. Please be aware that children taking part in these activities may leave, or be asked to leave, at any time.

Application forms are sent home with our students. Students must register for the program.

Brazier Street Nursery School

Located in Prince Edward School. Children between three and four years of age attend on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, from 9:15 – 11:15 or from 1:15 – 3:15. The cost is $55 per month. We have eager staff waiting to attend to your child. For further information please call 667- 4828.

Birth to Four Program

Our Birth to Four program is underway and we encourage all caregivers with young children to feel free to come, visit and enjoy a morning with your child. The program is held in the Brazier Street Nursery School room on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Our program is run by Katherine Kalapur and co-ordinated through the Prince Edward Action Team. Seniors Reading Program

Seniors spend one hour weekly in the school reading with children.

In-school Mentor Program

Big Brothers and Big Sisters provide mentors for one hour per week for identified children.
