Kildonan-East Collegiate Student Receives Lobodowsky Award
Illia Fitsai is a jazz guitar player who will be graduating from Kildonan-East Collegiate this year. He is a leader in the school’s music program and in the community. Illia recently received the Lobodowsky Award for full tuition to study music at Brandon University this fall.
“Music found me when I needed it most, and the guitar became my voice. Every time I play, I feel a kind of love and freedom I can’t find anywhere else. It’s how I heal, how I dream, and how I hope to reach others,” Illia said.
